Special Loehmann’s Event to Support AIDS Project Los Angeles

Hi all,
Did you know that there are enough people with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles to fill Dodger Stadium?
The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services Office of AIDS Programs and Policy approximate 54,000 persons living with HIV & AIDS in Los Angeles County. Of this, 9,000 people do not know their HIV status and do not access primary health care. Many do not qualify for Medi-Cal despite having limited resources and cannot acquire the basic services they need.
AIDS Project Los Angeles, one of the nation’s largest AIDS service organizations, provides direct services to more than 10,000 men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS in Los Angeles County for 25 years. Services include prevention education, a food bank, professional dental care, housing assistance, mental health counseling, women’s services and case management. APLA is a leader in the provision of bilingual HIV treatment information, in print and on the Internet, and advocates for effective AIDS-related policies and legislation on the local, state and federal level. For example, they just opened the S. Mark Taper Foundation Center, a 2,500-square-foot one-stop shop of vital services for persons living with HIV/AIDS.
To assist this wonderful organization, Loehmann’s would like to invite you to join us for a night of shopping at the Loehmann’s Beverly Connection Men’s store on Friday April, 3rd from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Five percent of the evening’s shopping proceeds will benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles
You receive a night of shopping for the biggest deals in men’s designer fashions while the less fortunate receive the benefits of the amazing designer finds you will bring home to your happy closet.
Just look at what your shopping can do:
$20 buys five bags of groceries for those most in need.
$100 gives at-risk youth a week of HIV prevention education.
Your shopping proceeds, large or small, directly helps APLA clients.
