We’re opening a new store in Costa Mesa, CA this March and have a very special grand opening celebration planned! Not only is a brand new Loehmann’s coming to the Metro Pointe Center, but we are having a huge celebration!

 The Band from TV: Live March 13^th!

Join us for a show that is bound to be unforgettable! Not only is the Band from TV a great group of musicians, but in case you don’t know, they are actually already stars from different TV shows! The Band From TV consists of actors and musicians who have come together for a common goal; to raise money through music to help those in need.  Right now the line up looks like this:

Group founder and actor, Greg Grunberg, is quoted in the Orange County Register Online about the show:

“They could hire anyone they wanted, and they decided to get us,” Grunberg says of Loehmann’s decision to book the band he founded a little over two years ago. “They get a big band for their buck, but it’s all for charity.”

 Proceeds from the ticket sales benefit the band’s charities including:

• The Indiana University-Kenya Partnership

• Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation

According to the National Cancer Institute, ovarian cancer is the most deadly form of gynecologic cancer and over 22,000 new cases will be reported in 2009.  September is Ovarian Cancer month and Loehmann’s is hosting a national charity event to support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund on Thursday, September 24^th.  Although there has been progress in finding more effective treatments-much remains to be done; and you can make your contribution to combating this tragic ailment at our Ovarian Cancer Research Fund event.
