It’s Ava time and I have news you will not want to miss!
I know everybody likes the month of August for different reasons; the Europeans like it because August means holiday time, others due to the perfect beach weather, kids like it because it means they get to pick out a new backpack and new school supplies and moms like it because the kids are almost ready to go back to school.
For me, August means: Italian Time at Loehmann’s!
For those who are not familiar with this event, it is when the latest fashions from top designers, as well as up and comers, come from Italy right to our local stores! If there is anything better than fine Italian wine, cannoli and tiramisu, it’s Italian cultural fashion. You will find out what “Made in Italy” really means; experience the rich wool fabrics, fine silks, and quality craftsmanship at saving of 60-80% off department store prices. From high couture to ready-to-wear Italian fashion, it’s a feast for the eyes, luxury for your body and a kindness to your wallet.
The backroom team has been working feverishly to get ready for this year’s event on Tuesday, August 26th.
Over 43,000 units of new fall product will be shipped to select stores in the next few weeks.
So, darlings, get ready!!! You will not be disappointed! Selections will come from top designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, and many others too exclusive to mention in print. But, I can give you a bit of a sneak peek at some of the key trends in this year’s assortment:
We have tantalizing pencil skirts in rich wool and silk fabrics. I found amazing novelty jackets in jacquards, tweeds and plaids. The sweaters look great this season! There will be knitwear from Aviu, D’Exterior, Gazebo, Massimo Rebbechi, Twinset, Pier Antonio Gaspari, and new comer Tricot Chic. Look for long duster coats, fur trims, cashmere, and more. 
As for color, black is very important, but look for charcoal and grays, navy, olive green and various shades of purple to add newness to your closet.
We all love Loehmann’s Italian events and we all have our favorites:
I am just dying for the belted chiffon sweater coat from Aviu. It’s priced at 499.99, compared to $1250.00 elsewhere. I think I might have to take the plunge!
Victoria, Chelsea’s own personal shopper, loves a certain trench coat with a bow tie back from a name that is just too hot to print. It’s down to 789.99 as opposed to $1975 at other stores. I know she won’t be able to resist.
My associate, Shari, adores a lovely printed dress from a new up and coming designer which is only 599.99 (compare at $1500) and it will be perfect for her. And my darling assistant, Tiffany, wants the 100% Cashmere sweater from Twinset. This gem is priced at 99.99 when it is regularly $250.00. Doesn’t she have a birthday coming up soon?
This event is only in selected stores and selection will vary. Be there first to get first choice, as quantities are limited. It is an event you will not want to miss!!
